I recently rescued a beta fish that had been abandoned for three months in a back bathroom. Most the water in the tank had evaporated and left only scum for the poor fish to feed on. It miraculously survived the period. Now it can finally live a normal fish's life: to be taunted by neighboring cats.

wow good for you! i used to dream fishes stuck in shallow dirty water all the time, and it kills me not able to find clean water for them in the dream...however, that fish still look pretty dangerous with that cat on the side...
